Tara Kinden is the host of the Electric Women podcast, Founder of Bioenergetic Somatics™, astro herbalist, certified Bach Flower practitioner and the creator of the Electric Women Brand Lab. She is based on the wild Atlantic coast of Newfoundland, where the ocean is at her doorstep and the rhythm of the tides informs everything she does.

She is a recording artist. A maker of candles and oils. A grower of herbs and flowers. A woman who has built businesses from scratch and rebuilt herself more than once. She published her first book — The Soul Flow Stories — via a Kickstarter-funded cross-Canada van tour. She is writing her second book. She is helping her son Hunter build Sharkies Hockey into something that matters to their community.

She also independently recorded, funded, marketed and released her own album. Every part of it — hers.

She has never been one thing. She has always been fully herself — and she has spent over two decades helping other women find their way back to the same.

I want to tell you something honestly. Clearing the signal is extraordinary work. Helping a woman hear herself — really hear herself — is one of the most important things I know how to do. That work will never stop mattering to me.

But the Brand Lab is the icing on the cake. This is where the rubber meets the road. This is where a woman takes everything she has learned about herself — her signal, her frequency, her blueprint — and builds something with it that can genuinely change her life. Financially. Emotionally. Energetically. In every way that actually matters.

I created the original branding for this work in 2022. I have been building toward it ever since. We launch in January 2027. Sometimes good things take time.

I have been an initiator my entire life. In real estate I created Smart Girls Own — a workshop series for women on purchasing property, bringing together mortgage brokers, stagers, financial experts and business owners before that kind of collaborative women's education was common. I brought stand-up paddleboard yoga to Muskoka before anyone else was doing it. I studied and implemented yoga for PTSD and mindfulness-based stress reduction when that conversation was barely happening yet. I built a yoga studio and ran it for eight years. I wrote my first book — The Soul Flow Stories — and when I did not have a conventional path to publish it, I raised over $10k on Kickstarter, packed a van, drove across Canada for 30 days with a photographer and interviewed more than 20 women. The book got made. I threw a party to raise money to release my album before I had a producer — and met the producer through the party and a connection that came from it. I have always seen what is coming before it is common — and moved toward it anyway. The Brand Lab is the most complete expression of that instinct I have ever created.

Mermaid Cove

Mermaid Cove is a seaside retreat space on the wild Atlantic coast of Newfoundland that Tara created as a place where women could step completely out of urgency and into themselves.

Some women come for private immersion work. Some come simply to rest beside the ocean and hear themselves again. All of them leave having touched something real. The work is never about fixing you. It is about helping your system settle so you can finally hear yourself — and remembHER who you came here to be.

Sharkies Hockey

One of the most important expressions of Tara's work does not happen in a session or a container. It happens through Sharkies Hockey — a community project she built alongside her son Hunter.

Sharkies donates Heart of the Game medals to youth hockey tournaments across Newfoundland — celebrating effort, character and confidence in young players, especially the kids who might not always be the biggest or fastest on the ice.

Leadership is not something you turn on for business and turn off at home. It is something our children feel. Sharkies is proof of that.
