But Tara, I’m not a creative person!
My client proclaims. I hear myself saying no sis I promise, you’re more creative than your ready to admit. But as the words leave my lips I realize most of my clients and society at large has been deeply programmed to believe that creativity isn’t for everyone.
This is where our work is. Because I sense that the way we individually understand what creativity is, might need a reframe. Regardless of whether we consider ourselves to be creative or not.
Being creative isn’t just about art, music, poetry, dance or whatever other typical idea of “being creative” flashes through your mind.
Living out your creative expression is about how you show up authentically in the world. Because you being YOU is your creative contribution to the world and that’s enough. It’s actually more than enough!
When you come to understand that no one on the planet cooks like you, speaks like you, contributes like you, nurtures like you do. You begin to see how valuable (worthy) you really are. The things you do naturally that come so second nature to you are your way of being creatively expressed.
When you get stuck in the idea that you’re not creative it recalibrate’s your frequency from a higher vibration to a lower vibration (potential default) of “not good enough” when in reality that’s just not true.
As your heart gets calibrated to that lower frequency it attracts to you even more of the feelings, experiences and situations you don’t want. Like feeling not good enough, feeling crappy about yourself and that your creative contribution to the world doesn’t exist or just isn’t good enough.
What we’re all seeking is actually the opposite. We all want to feel good, to feel appreciated, valued, loved, creative, unique and recognized.
I sense that when we all feel good, when we’re allowing our creative selves to just flow in whatever feels good to each of us. Our lives begin to transform in what we attract, how we respond and how we contribute.
We’re connected to each other by our hearts resonance. When we’re in the energy of someone that knows their value and honours their worth. They feel good and through the power of that energy/ resonance we begin to feel good to.
That’s what I love to call using your creative energy for the greater good of all!
So I’m curious how can you allow yourself to play in your own creative force field even more? To change the dynamics of the space you occupy.
Maybe make a creative artist date this weekend to have some fun, be silly and create for the sake of creating something that feels great to you.
The beautiful side effect might just be that you elevate someone else’s energy in the process of elevating your own.
